Hi, thank you so much for your posting! I am a fat yoga teacher too, and Ive tried your way getting in a low lunge from downdog. To me it feels kind of tricky in my hipjoint, it brings a bit too much tension and I wouldn't advise my students to do it this way. I myself prefer to come back on all 4 and then come into the lunge. The way you put the blocks on the side is really great though! That really makes space for moving.
