Teaching Yoga Nidra

A Course for Teachers interested in teaching the practice of Yoga Nidra to their students.
In this Training, you will learn and explore...

...the Yoga Nidra practice - enjoy a full length Yoga Nidra practice on Saturday & Sunday. You are welcome to either practice or observe either or both of these as these will be open to the public.
...the Physiological and Energetic Benefits of Yoga Nidra - Why this practice is so profoundly beneficial.
...Restorative Yoga as a Foundation - using restorative yoga principles to ensure your students are comfortable for the duration of each practice.
...Holding Space - your role as the guide for your students experience
...the Sankalpa (the heart of the practice) - how to create a personal and deeply profound Sankalpa and guide your students to do the same.
...the Method of Yoga Nidra - guiding students through relaxing, balancing and exploring the 5 Koshas (layers) of the body, including the Chakras!
...Yoga Nidra Crafting - writing your own Nidra scripts using the principles of the practice as your guide. Unleash your creativity and create unique and beneficial experiences for your students!

What is Yoga Nidra?
Yoga Nidra, also referred to as "yogic sleep" is a unique guided experience unlike any other and an antidote to the stressful go-go-go world we all live and work in.

Physiologically, the practice of Yoga Nidra takes you deep into a relaxed state using methods similar to those in guided meditation, slowing your heart rate, reducing blood pressure and ideally guiding you into the brain wave patterns associated with deep sleep, leaving you relaxed and well-rested at the conclusion of the practice.

Energetically, the goal of Yoga Nidra is to guide you through the layers of your energetic body until you reach the bliss body/state, where you can experience deep wisdom and personal growth that is uniquely yours.

What You Need:
You, comfy clothes (layers and cozy socks recommended!), something for taking notes/journaling. If you prefer electronic note-taking/writing devices these are also welcome. You may also want to bring snacks for break-time

Lisa, The Fat Yogini, is a certified Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500) and a certified YACEP (Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider). Graduates of this training receive a certificate of completion qualified for 11 Continuing Education Credits with Yoga Alliance.
